Järvelän Puutarha started operations as early as in the 1960’s. Activity upon start was small-scale – it was a family operation and the owners cultivated mainly outdoors vegetables in the summer time and later on also flowers in greenhouses all around the year. As a company, Järvelän Puutarha Oy was established in 1985 and thereafter the company has grown steadily under the ownership of the three brothers – Hannu, Juha and Timo Järvi.

The nursery that has its home in Ruotsalo, 15 kilometers north of Kokkola is today home for 16 greenhouses with about 23 000 m2 of floor space.

We cultivate annually about 2 million summer flowers and we make use of our own truck fleet upon transporting the flowers to our retailers. At the peak of the season we employ more than 20 people. We are certified by Suomen Asiakastieto Oy holding a Suomen Vahvimmat Platina 2007-2019 certificate.

We strive to be the leading Finnish producer and trend-setter of summer flowers. Our operation is financially sound and we look into the future with a high degree of motivation and trust.
